雇也。从鳥安聲。烏諫切
说文解字注
（鴳）雇也。釋鳥。鳸、鴳。舍人、李巡、孫炎皆云。鳸一名鴳。鴳、雀也。玄應曰。鴳又作鷃。一名鳸。一名鶬鴳。纂文云關中有鴳濫堆是也。按杜注左傳靑鳥氏爲鶬鴳。而九鳸有老鳸鷃鷃。是則別爲二鳥。不如玄應所說也。國語。晉平公射鴳。內則云。雉兔鶉鷃。又云。爵鷃蜩范。雇下云老雇、鴳也。皆不云鶬鴳。从鳥。安聲。鳥諫切。十四部。
